Watch the Lucky Numbers Get Struck
Once betting closes, one to five randomly generated Lucky Numbers are struck by lightning and each is given a random multiplier of between 50x and 500x. The draw happens after your chips are down, so there is nothing to react to and nothing to time.
See Where the Ball Lands
If the ball settles on a Lucky Number you covered Straight Up, your bet is multiplied by that Lucky Payout instead of paying the base rate. If it lands on a number you covered that was not struck, you get 29:1. Everything else resolves at standard odds.

Lucky Numbers

Cover a Lucky Number with a Straight Up bet and win it, and the bet is multiplied by the Lucky Payout instead of paying the standard rate. 500x is the top of the published range — a stake that would have returned 29:1 returns 500x instead.
The 29:1 Trade-Off
Non-multiplied Straight Up bets pay 29:1, not the 35:1 of a normal single-zero table. That is exactly where the multiplier money comes from. Every other bet on the layout — splits, corners, dozens, columns, even-money — pays standard odds.

Strategy Tips
Bankroll first. Same wheel as standard European Roulette, rougher ride on Straight Up bets: most of those wins now pay 29:1 instead of 35:1, and the difference only comes back when lightning lands on a number you covered. Budget for the long stretches in between, and remember that covering five numbers is five bets a round, not one.
Know which bets the feature can reach. Lucky Payouts apply to Straight Up bets only. Outside bets keep the full standard odds and the published 97.30% — they are simply not part of the Lightning layer. Deciding how your round splits between the two is the whole strategy here.
Nothing about the draw is predictable. The Lucky Numbers are generated after betting closes, and a struck number is no more likely to come in than any other — the multiplier changes the payout, not the odds. Bet history tells you nothing about the next round.
Be sceptical of exact odds for 500x. Evolution publishes the range — one to five numbers struck, multipliers of 50x to 500x — and not the weighting inside it. Any site quoting a precise percentage for a 500x hit is inventing it. Treat the top multiplier as an outlier, not a plan.
